Environmental Activists Conference

NOTE CHANGE OF DATE

The Environmental Activists' Conference "Climate Emergency - No More Business as Usual" will provide an open forum for education, ideas, solidarity and campaigning perspectives on how to avert the global warming threat.

The public forum and conference will include plenary sessions by eminent speakers such as Dr Mark Diesendorf, UNSW; Professor Barry Brook, Adelaide University; Robyn Francis, Permaculture International; David Spratt, co-author of Climate Code Red; Dr Paul Downton, Ecological Architect and urban ecologist; Correna Haythorpe, AEU; David Kerin, Union Solidarity, Victoria; Janet Giles, SA Unions and Renfrey Clarke, writer and commentator.

Time: 6.00pm-8.15pm Friday 10 October will feature a Public Forum introducing the science of Global Warming (Venue: Basil Hertzel Auditorium, Frome Rd, City East Campus, Uni SA); 9:00am-5:30pm Saturday 11 October Conference (Venue: AEU, Parkside). PD Certificates available for educators.
Cost: Friday night entry by coin donation appreciated Saturday lunch $10 payable at lunchtime. Saturday conference no charge.
