Building Community in the Classroom - student engagement and accountability from day 1.

Summary:
Building relationships from the get go is critical for student engagement and accountability in the classroom.
Using techniques from the Classroom Management and Engagement Strategies framework and years of experience we traverse ideas to gain student trust, create safe learning spaces, engage all students using differentiation methods and build accountability into all aspects of classroom activity.
This workshop has been mapped against the following Australian Professional Standards for Teachers
1.2 Understand how students learn
3.5 Use effective classroom communication
4.1 Support student participation
4.2 Manage classroom activities
6.2 Engage in professional learning and improve practice
