Summary:

Incorporating aboriginal perspectives into the curriculum can be daunting for many teachers. It is particularly hard to know where to start especially for those who don't feel they have a loft of knowledge and confidence to speak with authority. This session will explore and develop knowledge in a way that encourages everyone to be creative and have a go and will also identify networks that can be accessed to draw on expertise and resources that are readily available.

This event has been mapped against the following Australia Professional Standards for Teachers:

2.2.2 Content selection and organisation
2.4.2 Understand and respect Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to promote reconciliation between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians.
